Just out of curiosity, what kind of old-fashioned stories do you like?
I am looking for more to read and I am almost sure you have one because we all grew up with some sort of fairy tale or something like that. It does not matter what kind, I am all for it! I am a HUGE Greek stories fan, but I also like Celtic (Irish), Native American and (any) religious stories. Mostly Old Testament, saint stories, and anything involving Shiva or Mara (Hindu) - they are SO exciting! No offense Jesus, but you are not much for epic battles or cutting off body parts like St. Agatha. Hold on, someone got their ear cut off in the New Testament...
ANYWAYS, what kind of tales are your favorite?

Oh all those stories... Probably Oisin in Tír na nÓg (Oisin in the Land of Youth/Everyoung) is my favourite, along with anything to do with Fionn MacCuil or CúCullin
And then allll the different fairy myths I learned about in college

"Knowledge is the real power"
My teacher was a busker in Ireland and sang all the stories to us. It was a little awkward too since my friend and I audited the class and we were the ONLY Asian teenagers in a sea of old, white people. They treated us like their grandkids whenever they saw us. Despite the odd feelings, we helped the class too because without us, they would have had trouble using the electronics and watching Father Ted.
You learned myths in college? We have a class that studies fairy tales and I am so sad I didn't take it.

Ooo, that's so cool! 83 Haha, I know how that feels XD In my Folklore class there were about 4 teens and the rest mature students, and I was the only one who went to all the classes
You watched Father Ted too? WIN!
What did we study? Well.. all about the fairies and ghosts in Ireland and the festivals and rituals connected to them, the wise women and cunning men, the myths and legends, the folktales and beliefs as well as how they lived in those times. Mostly things like Banshees, Leprechauns and my fave, the Pooka
Learning about the actual Irish heroes was something that was saved for my English course this year XD Learned all about Cúculain
