I have disappeared into the black shadows of inactivity.
Actually, that isn't true. I'm actually quite active browsing through art, but I just don't draw much anymore. I don't know if that will change in the future, but my profession limits me from excessively using my dominant arm. It gets so tired that I barely want to cook food, let alone draw. But I'm doing something that I should have done from the very beginning - I am going to use my other arm. I know I'll never be ambidextrous, but it will allow my right arm to do more fun things, like draw or play badminton.
I've shifted into a gaming mindset, and I've played my 3DS a lot lately. I want to do a little YouTube review channel, but I don't have the charisma. I'm a little too serious. I do blog some reviews on Tumblr, but I have to get back into that too. *Sigh* I'm so lazy.
In more fun news, I actually met ancode and CarmenMCS in real life in February. I've watched both of them since I started going on dA, so I was super excited despite being sick most of the time. Sooorrrry! Getting a local perspective was great and my favorite part was the "geek triangle" of Barcelona. I would have bought so much stuff if I could read Spanish. I guess I should start learning...?

Games (Fire Emblem) have Eaten My Life [Life Rant]
My life has changed quite a bit with a move, work, and my renewed addiction to video games. I've been playing Fire Emblem: Awakening since it was released in February and despite my love-hate relationship with it, it's one of my favorite games. I love everything about it! I played it multiple times to get all the support conversations too. I wanted my strongest characters in the game to be in the file where my avatar is married to Chrom, but my first file is where I'm strongest and my avatar is married to Walhart. LOL. :lol: I am obsessed and I know it.
The only reason I have even an inkling of hate with it is because of my pre-order experie
How Do You Exercise?
Ever since I began my studies in ultrasound, I have become painfully aware of the importance of exercise to prevent injury. It is almost guaranteed that I will suffer at least one arm injury in my working career. Gotta hate that repetitive strain!
And so I came to wonder, what do you like to do to prevent harming yourself? Artists run the risk or carpal tunnel and other wrist/hand-related injuries, so what exercises do you like to do? Awareness of proper posture and a strong upper body are key/my favorites.
Of course, I do SO love my lazy days! :heart:

Rant: Games that Irritate You
I've always loved video games ever since Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt for the NES (that totally dates me ^^;), but I've been disappointed with the games I've completed recently. Maybe because I've been very mainstream, don't read reviews and actually just pick up games which appeal to me, or because I'm a different gamer nowadays, but I just haven't found a game that made me go absolutely crazy for it.
But I'm going to talk about a game I recently completed that irks me quite a bit - Kingdom Hearts: Recoded. I like the concept of Kingdom Hearts, but the way Square Enix is tackling it, it's been beaten into the ground. I really don't care
Legend of Zelda: Hyrule's Most Wanted
Since it's the Legend of Zelda's 25th anniversary this year, IGN.com had organized a Legend of Zelda project WAY back in February. It's finally up now and I thought I'd share - it's Hyrule's Wost Wanted!!
Everyone did a super-awesome job and there was a tremendous outpouring of absolutely incredible artwork. A lot of them are from deviantART, and I silently recommended a few artists as well. I know one of them took part, but I'm waiting to see if the others I suggested were part of it! :D If you're a Legend of Zelda and art fan, you'll be drooling over SO many of the pictures.

Know how you feel - I haven't been catching up with much of my messages and uploading due to currently studying at TAFE after so long!
